U.J. Robichaud TIMBR Mart winner of Lauriers de la PME national award !
UJ Robichaud TIMBR Marts wins the
Lauriers de la PME 2007 for the service category.
Every two years, the Lauriers de
la PME competition highlights the importance of Francophone businesses outside
Quebec to the Canadian economy. This competition rewards companies that are
well established and in good financial health, and whose reputation is
synonymous with quality and service.
Accordingly, provincial and
territorial organizations affiliated with RDÉE
Canada are invited to nominate as candidates companies whose success in their
respective communities can serve as a model for others.
The Selection Committee for this
competition includes representatives of the French-Canadian business
community, as well as representatives of federal government departments and
agencies with an economic development mission. In ranking the candidates, the
Committee will base its evaluation on their economic performance (70%) and
their involvement in the community (30%).
Companies are recognized in the
following four categories.
Processing Company - whose principale activity involves transforming or processing manufactured goods from raw materials Service Company - involved in the sale of services to consumers or to other companies that use such services as an input to their operations Micro Company - companies that have a maximum of three employees New Company - companies that have been on the market for no less than 2 years, but no more than 5 years
The 4 category winners were
selected from 35 finalists at gala event held in Ottawa on November 11, 2007.
