Model 9800 Fiberglass Garage Door
Model 9800 has been magnificently engineered by
Wayne-Dalton in conjunction with Therma-Tru, the leading national
manufacturer of entry doors.
The artfully molded fiberglass surface is layered
over an underlying durable steel door. The high-definition wood-grain of the
fiberglass will astound your eyes.
Bring on the wind, rain, driveway soccer
practice... the years. The surface of Model 9800 won’t warp, crack, or rot
like inferior wood doors. It won’t dent or ding like low-grade steel can.
The Model 9800 door is made with award-winning
technology, including pinch-resistant door panels, safely enclosed springs,
and tamper-resistant mounting brackets. All panels have a finished white
interior with color-matched, low-profile hinges.
Foamed-in-place insulation with an R-value of 7.3
helps control costly heat loss and gain. It also serves as an acoustic break
to help block street noise. Weather seal completely encases the door to stop
air infiltration.
Be sure to complete your garage door purchase with
the convenience, safety, and security of a Wayne-Dalton residential garage
door opener.
Only Wayne-Dalton manufactures both the garage door
and garage door opener to work together as one complete system. Available in
either contemporary wall-mount (idrive) or traditional ceiling mount (prodrive)
designs, Wayne-Dalton offers the quietest and most advanced residential
garage door openers to meet your needs and taste.
Model 9800 Fiberglass Garage Door Features
TorqueMaster® safety counterbalance

Your garage door uses the energy of a spring wound very
tightly (called a counterbalance) to help lift your door's weight. The
Wayne-Dalton TorqueMaster® is the first counterbalance to seal springs
safely within a steel tube.
This design helps prevent the accidental release of tension that could
cause serious injury. Plus it looks much better and cleaner.
The TorqueMaster® counterbalance does not come standard with all
Wayne-Dalton garage doors, so make sure you ask your dealer or retailer
to include TorqueMaster® with your purchase. Considering how many years
your new garage door will last, you'll be glad (and safer) that you did.
Pinch-resistant door panels
The Wayne-Dalton
pinch-resistant garage door design is engineered to help eliminate
injuries caused when fingers are caught in door panel joints during
downward operation of the door. This is an important feature to
Wayne-Dalton doors, as there can be injuries associated with standard
garage door operation.
Wayne-Dalton developed the first integrated pinch-resistant door design
in the industry.
Bottom weather seal
In addition to
insulation, all doors come standard with a bottom weather seal. The
bottom weather seal blocks drafts and helps save energy. It remains
flexible even in extreme cold to keep the bad weather outside.
