What is mineral wool?
Roxul mineral wool is made from a combination of natural rock and recycled materials. These simple ingredients are melted under intense heat and spun into individual fibres and then bound into a dense, non-directional raw wool material. The new wool is then cured, cut and trimmed into finished insulation products.

Step Two: Calculate how much insulation you need
Multiply the length by the width of the area you are insulation to determine the total square footage.
(Note: You will have to subtract the square footage of any openings in that area, such as doorways, windows, vents, etc...)
Total square footage = length x width of your area less the square footage of any openings.
To determine how many bags of insulation you will need, divide the total square footage by the coverage.
Total square footage divided by coverage = Number of bags of insulation
(Note: The actual number of bags may vary depending on the insulating R-value desired.)
