The World At Your Feet

The Goodfellow International Collection features wood species from all over the world. Boards are characterized by rich natural coloring, extreme hardness and unsurpassed durability.

Goodfellow has spared no effort in manufacturing these premium products. Great care is taken in the kiln drying and milling of the boards under ideal conditions. The culmination of the manufacturing process is the application of 10 coats of aluminum oxide-based Millennium finish, which delivers incredible resistance to wear and is backed by a 25-year residential warranty and a 3-year commercial wear warranty.

In its concern for preserving the world’s forest, Goodfellow makes sure that all products are manufactured and harvested in accordance with local government regulations, including reforestation.

Over time, all wood species react to exposure to daylight. For some species, colour changes can be quite pronounced, as shown in the picture. Please ask usr for information on how daylight affects the colour of each specie.

The Janka Test

The Janka test is one of the best tests to measure the ability of different wood species to withstand denting and wear. It measures the force required to embed a .444-inch steel ball to half its diameter into wood. Red Oak, for example, has a Janka hardness rating of 1290, whereas Jatoba has a rating of 2812, meaning it is more than twice as hard.
