A crucial part of our complete system, VELUX flashing systems are designed
to shed water without relying on sealants that can break down over time. We
offer a variety of flashing systems to ensure a weathertight fit for
virtually all roof types and slopes.
LOW PROFILE ROOF FLASHING Flashing systems for roofs with thin roofing materials such as shingles
or shakes.
VELUX low profile roof flashings provide a weathertight seal for skylights
or roof windows installed on roofs with shingles, shakes and other low
profile roofing materials.
EKL COMBI-FLASHING Enables the close grouping of deck mounted skylights on low profile
roofing materials.
EKL combi-flashing is designed to work with multiple deck
mounted skylights or roof windows grouped together on low-profile roofing
materials such as shingles and shakes. This flashing system is designed for
roofs with slopes from 15º (3:12) to 85º (137:12).
This modular system allows easy installation of an unlimited number of
skylights closely together to dramatically transform interior spaces with
natural light.
4" spacing is required for over-and-under configurations. 2½" to 12" spacing
in ½" increments is required for side-by-side configurations.
EDL STEP FLASHING Provides a weathertight seal for deck mounted skylights on low profile
roofing materials.
EDL step flashing provides a weathertight seal for deck
mounted skylights and roof windows installed on roofs with thin roofing
materials such as asphalt or fiberglass shingles, slate, cedar shingles and
shakes*.
Each piece of step flashing is interwoven with a layer of roofing material
for proper water drainage. No caulk or sealants are needed. Type EDL is
designed for roofs with slopes from 15º (3:12) to 85º (137:12).
* ZZZ 165 additional step flashing pieces required for shakes and other
thick roofing material
ECL STEP FLASHING Provides a weathertight seal for curb mounted skylights on low profile
roofing materials.
ECL step flashing provides a weathertight seal for curb
mounted skylights installed on roofs with thin roofing materials such as
asphalt or fiberglass shingles, slate, cedar shingles and shakes. ECL step
flashing works with:
Curb mounted skylights, such as the VELUX FCM skylight.
2x6 or 2x4 site-built curbs made to standard dimensions.
Shingles or other low-profile roofing materials on roof pitches from
15° (3:12) - 60° (20:12).
HIGH PROFILE ROOF FLASHING Flashing systems for roofs with thick roofing materials such as spanish
or concrete tile.
VELUX® high profile roof flashings provide a weathertight seal for skylights
or roof windows installed on roofs with concrete or spanish tile and other
high profile roofing materials.
EKW COMBI-FLASHING Enables close grouping of deck mounted skylights and roof windows on
high profile roofing materials.
EKW combi-flashing is designed to work with multiple deck
mounted skylights or roof windows grouped together on high-profile roofing
materials such as shingles and shakes. The EKW flashing system is designed
for roofs with slopes from 15º (3:12) to 85º (137:12).
This modular system allows easy installation of an unlimited number of units
closely together to dramatically transform interior spaces with natural
light.
Skylight Configurations
For skylight configurations, 4" spacing is required for over-and-under
configurations. 2½" to 12" spacing in ½" increments is required for
side-by-side configurations.
Roof window Configurations
EDW FLASHING Provides a weathertight seal for deck mounted skylights and roof
windows on low profile roofing materials.
EDW high profile roof flashing provides a weathertight seal
for deck mounted skylights or roof windows installed on roofs with high
profile roofing materials such as concrete or Spanish tile.
The engineered side and head flashing pieces form a gutter which directs
water away from the skylight and off the roof, ensuring a weathertight
installation. The patented sill flashing piece features pliable pleats that
can be easily formed to most types and heights of tile. EDW flashing is
designed for roofs with slopes from 15º (3:12) to 85º (137:12).
METAL ROOF FLASHING Flashing systems for metal roofs.
VELUX® metal roof flashings provide a weathertight seal for skylights or
roof windows installed on roofs with standing seam metal roofs and many
profiled metal panels.
EKM COMBI-FLASHING Enables close grouping of
deck mounted skylights on metal roofs.
EKM combi-flashing is designed to work with multiple deck
mounted skylights grouped together on standing seam metal roofs and many
profiled metal panels. This flashing system is designed for roofs with
slopes from 15º (3:12) to 85º (137:12).
This modular system allows easy installation of an unlimited number of
skylights closely together to dramatically transform interior spaces with
natural light.
4" spacing is required for over-and-under configurations. 2½" to 12" spacing
in ½" increments is required for side-by-side configurations.
EDM FLASHING Provides a weathertight seal for deck mounted skylights on metal
roofs.
A VELUX® exclusive, EDM metal roof flashing makes installing
skylights in metal roofs a snap. Flashing pieces interlock directly with the
roofing material for a fast, weathertight installation and streamlined
exterior. A sill apron features pliable pleats that form to the roof. EDM
flashing is designed for roof pitches from 15º (3:12) to 85º (137:12).
UNDERLAYMENT Provides added protection from extreme weather conditions.
This roofing underlayment is an alternative to roofing felt
that wraps the skylight or roof window to provide added protection from
extreme weather conditions. This is especially important in areas where ice
and snow accumulate on the roof.
