Frequently Asked Questions
What is your dealer area?
In Nova Scotia, we deliver regularly to all points from Annapolis Royal, Digby Neck,
Weymouth, Clare, Yarmouth, Pubnico, Wedgeport, Argyle, Cape Island, and
Barrington.
I live in elsewhere in the province, but I'd really like to deal with you
for our next project, can you deliver to us?
Absolutely. We have shipped houselots to Cape Breton, Halifax,
Sackville, Dartmouth and many in the Annapolis Valley. Each project is
different, we'll want to talk to you about the costs and the timing
issues involved.
Do you charge for delivery?
Yes we do. There are very real costs in operating a delivery fleet.
Fuel, insurance, maintenance, driver's wages and the costs of the trucks
themselves. If you know of a way to run trucks for free, please call us
as we'd like to know.

We believe we offer value with our delivery service and it is certainly
well worth the cost we charge.
In addition, some items when advertised as Cash and Carry may involve
additional delivery charges for us to deliver.
Does everyone pay delivery?
Yes we charge all our customers for delivery, this includes new home
builders and contractors. Our contractors have come to value the
efficiency of our service and believe it is well worth the amounts charged.
Can you deliver drywall in the rain?
Our latest addition to our fleet is a 1-1/2 Ton Covered Box Truck which we
hope will allow us to deliver drywall and other items during rainy days.
Can you boom the materials where I want them? Will you put the
shingles on my roof?
The purpose of our boom is to unload our truck. We will try to
accommodate homeowner wishes for placement of product to the best of our
ability. However, we are not a crane service and there may be additional
costs involved to prevent the abuse of this service.
As to shingles on a rooftop, we leave that to the discretion of our boom truck
driver. If he believes it can be safely done and in a reasonable time
frame, he may. However, do not call our store complaining the driver
refused to put the shingles on the roof, as we will always support the
decision of our driver on this matter.
I have material left over from a job, do you charge for pickup?
Yes, a separate pick up charge will apply to all material pick-ups.
When calling for a pick-up of left-over goods, please realize that deliveries
get priority in our system. There may be up to a week's delay in having
our trucks stop in and pick up your material.
There is a $20.00 pickup fee if we pick up your left-over materials.
This is necessary to pay for the fuel and driver's time while on site.
Again, if you feel this charge is excessive, you are more than welcome to
bring your return directly to our store.
I see you also have a Rental Center, can I get staging delivered with my
order?
Absolutely. We can deliver any item from our rental center direct to
your home or jobsite. It is very common for scaffolding to be delivered with
window, siding or roofing orders.
We can also pick up Rental Items. However, we do not schedule our trucks
based on pick-ups (as deliveries get priority). You will be responsible
for Rental charges up to the day our trucks are able to pick up the material.
Staging must be completely dismantled and ready for pick-up.
Do you deliver on weekends?
We do not schedule drivers for deliveries on weekends. However, we
are flexible and have a great team of drivers. If you have special
circumstances that warrant a weekend delivery, let us know and we will try to
accommodate.
Will the driver have help on the truck?
The delivery charge includes only the driver on the
truck. If you require additional assistance, please let us know in
advance, however there will be an extra charge for the extra person on the
truck.
