STROBE LIGHT, REMOTE VISUAL SIGNALING DEVISE FOR SMOKE ALARM - DUAL MODE SL177i - 120V AC Direct Wire

The Kidde SL177i, used in conjunction with a smoke, heat or carbon monoxide alarm, provides a bright visual signal to warn of a smoke, heat or CO hazard. The Kidde Strobe light benefits the hearing impaired, allowing a visual alert of a danger. This unit also includes a tamper resist pin that helps to deter thief and tampering.
The Kidde SL177i is a 120VAC wire in unit that provides a visual warning when part of an interconnected system.

Recommended Placement for the Hearing Impaired (MUST BE INTERCONNECTED WITH KIDDE, FYRNETICS OR LIFESAVER ALARMS)
Locate the first strobe in the bedroom where a person who is hearing impaired sleeps. The unit must be interconnected to smoke alarms near the bedroom. If there are no alarms near the bedroom, then an interconnected smoke alarm must be installed in the bedroom.
Locate additional strobe lights in any rooms where a hearing impaired person might be present and need to be notified of an alarm condition (i.e. living room, kitchen, bathroom, basement)
Note: Light intensity gradually decreases as the viewing angle is increased. Consult chart in owner's manual to determine best location for strobe light installation

The Kidde HD135F is a 120VAC Wire-In Heat Alarm that responds to temperature rather than smoke. The alarm will sound if temperatures rise above 135F. The Kidde HD135F is interconnectable.

Description: This module is only activated by a smoke alarm interconnect signal. The relay portion of this module can be used to activate auxiliary warning devices such as external bells and sirens, hallway or stairwell lighting. It provides isolated, (no internal connection to 120 Volts AC) normally open, and normally closed contacts.
The power supply portion can be used to connect spot type heat detectors (Rate of rise or combined rate of rise and fixed temperature only) and manual pull stations with interconnected multiple station alarms.

This device will only activate when it receives a CO interconnect signal from a compatible device. When in the activated mode (as a result of a CO signal), this device will deactivate if it receives a smoke interconnect signal from a compatible device. NOTE: Only the Carbon Monoxide portion of the: KN-COSM-IB and KN-COSMIBCA
combo alarms will activate this module. If activation is required from the Smoke Alarm portion of these alarms, use the SM120X module.
