PATRICE BOULIANNE alias BLOU has been performing in many festivals and
international cultural events since 1994, including: The Calgary Folk
Festival, Les FrancoFolies de Montréal, The Great Falls Balloon Festival
in Maine (USA), European tours (Ile de Ré, Bordeaux and Limoges (France),
Brussels (Belgium), Le Festival Settembrinu di Tavagna (Corsica), Congrès
mondial acadien in Louisiana (USA), Hannover International Expo 2000
(Germany), and many shows in : Guatemala, Colombia, Dominican Republic,
Brazil, Costa Rica, Panama, Norway, Italy, and Poland - an impressive
itinerary indeed!
These very talented singer/songwriter has a vast repertoire of original,
contemporary and traditional music. Originating from Nova Scotia’s Acadie
in Canada, his music is inspired by his family's Acadian roots, which is both a
source of ingenuity and creativity.

BLOU’s music is made up of
ancient and new eclectic sounds spiced with powerful rhythms and
originality capable of making you live a truly memorable experience.
Furthermore, his charisma, artistic abilities and
high-energy all add up to extraordinary performances.
Some important highlights in BLOU’s career in 1999 include winning
an East Coast Music Award for Francophone Recording of the Year, as well
as an Éloize for Artist of the Year in Music. Also, BLOU is the ZOF
Award Winner 2003 for the Francophone Canadian Artist most recognized on
the International market. In 2003, BLOU won the Grand-Pré Prize;
this biannual award recognizes artist whose work reflects Acadian cultural
values and traditions, while demonstrating excellence and originality.
He is the first Acadian artist from Nova Scotia to sign a distribution contract
for the European market with his first album ACADICO.
